Cantu Shea Butter Leave in Conditioning Repair Cream Review

I recently decided to go natural and have since turned into a product junkie of sorts. (Laughing at myself) I have read mixed reviews about the Cantu Shea Butter LICRC. So, I decided to give it a try myself and give my own review. I myself find it to be one of the better products on the market when it’s used properly. I have tried using it with other products but it doesn’t work out well that way. It’s really good to use when you are doing a twist out, braid out or Bantu knot out.
I typically condition (detangle), then shampoo my hair. Then, I put a conditioner on with a plastic cap for approx. 5 to 10 minutes then I rinse it out thoroughly. I towel dry my hair and let it air dry about 60% before I apply a small amount of EVOO (extra virgin olive oil) and a dollop of Cantu Shea Butter to each section before twisting and knotting my hair. It works better when hair is damp. The next morning my curls are always bouncy and shiny and my hair is moisturized. For maintenance, I use a water bottle to dampen my hair and apply the Cantu & EVOO mixture every 2 or 3 days before I twist my hair at night. Once there is too much product build-up I shampoo my hair (about once every 7 to 10 days).

My overall opinion of this product is if it's used properly, without too many other products; it works perfect. My hair is always moisturized full and full of body.
